B. Braun 5% Dextrose in Lactated Ringer’s Injection USP is a sterile, nonpyrogenic intravenous solution formulated to provide hydration, electrolyte balance, and caloric support in a single dose container. This balanced combination includes 5% dextrose for energy and Lactated Ringer’s (sodium chloride, sodium lactate, potassium chloride, and calcium chloride) to help maintain electrolyte levels and acid-base balance. Indicated for use in both adult and pediatric patients requiring fluid replenishment with added glucose, such as during surgery, trauma recovery, or metabolic stress. The EXCEL® IV Container is made without natural rubber latex, PVC, or DEHP — reducing the risk of leachable and improving patient safety. Constructed from a multilayered polyolefin film that ensures compatibility with sensitive medications and maintains solution integrity. Closed-system design allows direct connection to administration sets without venting. Resistant to cracking and provides excellent clarity for visual inspection. Ideal for clinical settings including emergency departments, operating rooms, and intensive care units. Each bag contains 500 mL of solution. Packaged 24 units per case.
