The Covidien Shiley™ XLT (Extended Length Tracheostomy) Tube 50XLTUD is a cuffless, adult tracheostomy tube designed for patients requiring long-term airway access without the need for mechanical ventilation sealing. This extended-length model features a 5.0 mm inner diameter (9.6 mm OD) and total length of 90 mm, with a distal extension to accommodate deep or high tracheal stomas — ideal for patients with challenging anatomies due to surgery, trauma, or chronic conditions.

Designed for spontaneous breathing and phonation, this cuffless tube allows airflow around the cannula, supporting natural speech and reduced risk of aspiration in appropriate candidates. Includes a flexible, disposable inner cannula with a twist-lock mechanism for secure retention and easy removal for cleaning or replacement. The soft, swiveling neck flange enhances patient comfort and allows unobstructed access for stoma care and skin inspection.
