The HYDROFERA LLC HBRT4050 is a Hydrofera BLUE® READY Transfer Foam Dressing designed to create an optimal wound healing environment. This sterile dressing measures 4 x 5 inches and is unique because it comes without a film backing, which significantly increases options for exudate management by allowing exudate to transfer into a secondary absorbent dressing.
The dressing is composed of a combination of PVA (Polyvinyl Alcohol) and PU (Polyurethane), infused with two organic pigments: methylene blue and gentian violet. These pigments provide broad-spectrum antibacterial protection, effectively helping to protect against common micro-organisms found in wounds. The dressing is suitable for use on both partial- and full-thickness wounds. A key benefit is that no hydration is required before use, simplifying application, and it offers an extended wear time of up to seven days, reducing the frequency of dressing changes. Importantly, it is non-cytotoxic and will not inhibit growth factors, making it compatible with enzymatic debriders. This product is supplied in boxes of 10 dressings.
