The MEDLINE SV430UDT is a SorbaView® SHIELD Integrated Securement Dressing specifically designed for the securement and protection of universal dialysis catheters, though its design can also accommodate other lines like arterial lines. This dressing measures approximately 4 x 5.5 inches (10.16 x 13.97 cm). It offers a comprehensive one-step solution for catheter site management, eliminating the need for a secondary securement device.

A core feature of this dressing is its integrated SHIELD technology, which includes a specially designed catheter securement window. This technology allows the dressing to resist a nine-vector force pull, ensuring the catheter remains firmly in place and is protected from movement and accidental removal, thus representing a highly safe option for catheter stabilization.

To further reduce the risk of infections, such as Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infections (CLABSIs), the SorbaView SHIELD dressing provides a breathable barrier against external bacteria. It is engineered for long wear times, staying securely in place for up to seven days for central lines and 96 hours (or until clinically indicated) for peripheral catheters.

For convenient identification and ease of use for healthcare staff, a patient label is attached to the back of the SHIELD dressing. The product is supplied in cases of 50 units.
