The Medtronic Cragg-McNamara™ Valved Infusion Catheter (Model 41058-01) is a single-lumen, 5 Fr micro therapeutics catheter designed for controlled, selective infusion of thrombolytic agents or contrast media into the peripheral vasculature. Engineered to streamline endovascular interventions, this valved-tip catheter allows infusion with or without a guidewire in place, eliminating the need for a tip-occluding guidewire and maximizing lumen area — nearly doubling infusion capacity compared to standard catheters.

Its unique valve mechanism at the distal tip prevents backflow while enabling uninterrupted delivery of pharmacologic agents such as tissue plasminogen activator (tPA), enhancing efficiency in thrombus management procedures like catheter-directed thrombolysis (CDT). The large central lumen supports high-flow infusion rates, improving drug distribution and treatment efficacy.
