Indications:

• Examination of the ear canal and eardrum
• Diagnosis of ear infections, such as otitis media
• Detection of foreign objects in the ear

Contraindications:

• Active ear infections with discharge
• Ruptured eardrum
• Severe pain or tenderness in the ear

How to Use:

1. Select the appropriate size ear funnel and attach it to the otoscope head.
2. Turn on the light source.
3. Gently pull the pinna of the ear outward to straighten the ear canal.
4. Insert the otoscope speculum into the ear canal and slowly advance it until the tympanic membrane is visible.
5. Examine the ear canal and tympanic membrane for any abnormalities.
6. Remove the otoscope and discard the used ear funnel.

Cleaning:

• Wipe the otoscope head and ear funnels with a damp cloth after each use.
• Disinfect the otoscope head and ear funnels with a commercially available disinfectant according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Do not immerse the otoscope head in water.
