DARCO APQ3B refers to the +POST-OP BOOT in a large (LG) size with a square toe design and black color. It is sold individually (1/EA), with 12 units per box (12/BX) and 36 units per case (36/CA). This All Purpose Boot (APB) offers excellent post-operative protection with a closed-toe design to keep dressings and toes clean and dry. Its versatile design accommodates both bulky dressings and most fiberglass casts. The boot features a rocker sole that reduces plantar pressure under the forefoot and heel by over 25%. The square toe design acts as a bumper to protect toes, especially when K-wires are present, and provides a better left/right fit.

An ankle strap secures the foot to reduce heel slippage and friction. It has a removable forefoot closure to eliminate buckle pressure and a unique metatarsal shank under the MP joints for increased support and rigidity under the forefoot. The removable insole has twice the padding of standard insoles and can be modified or removed to accommodate DARCO’s Peg Assist customizable off-loading insole. This large size typically fits male shoe sizes 10-1/2 to 12 and female shoe sizes 13+.
