The BD Vacutainer® ACD (Acid Citrate Dextrose) Solution A Tube is a sterile, specialty blood collection tube designed for the safe and effective preservation of whole blood for specific diagnostic and therapeutic applications. This glass tube measures 16 mm x 100 mm and has a draw volume of 8.5 mL. The tube contains ACD Solution A — a preservative additive consisting of trisodium citrate (22.0 g/L), citric acid (8.0 g/L), and dextrose (24.5 g/L) — which prevents coagulation by binding calcium and supports platelet viability during storage.

Ideal for use in blood banking, stem cell collection, DNA testing, and preparation of autologous therapies. Features a conventional closure with a yellow closure cap for easy identification. Labeled with paper labeling for standard compatibility. Designed for use with BD Vacutainer blood collection holders and adapters. Sterile, single-use tube ensures sample integrity and safety.
