3M 1622W Tegaderm™ Transparent Film Frame Dressing 1622W is a sterile vapour permeable dressing designed for reliable protection of IV sites wounds and catheter insertion points. The clear adhesive film creates a waterproof barrier that helps prevent contamination from bacteria viruses blood and body fluids — in vitro testing confirms it acts as a viral barrier against particles 27 nm or larger when intact.

Breathable construction allows oxygen in and moisture vapour out to support healthy skin integrity and reduce maceration. Features a picture-frame delivery system for precise easy application with minimal risk of sticking to gloves or itself. Transparent design enables continuous visibility of the insertion site or wound without removing the dressing.

Flexible film moves with the skin for comfort during wear and can remain in place up to 7 days. Radiologically transparent — safe to leave on during radiotherapy without acting as bolus material. Also helps maintain a moist wound environment to support autolytic debridement and prevent skin breakdown from friction.

Suitable for use on surgical wounds skin graft donor sites minor burns abrasions and superficial ulcers. May also be used as a protective eye covering to keep eyes closed during surgery or in patients with corneal abrasions. Compatible with 3M™ Cavilon™ No Sting Barrier Film.
