Contour Next EZ meter kits initially come in a box but a hard carrying case is provided to keep all the components well-protected until the time of use.

Caution

• Lancets are single-use items and must disposed of after one application.
• Use a metallic sharps container for storing the used lancets.
• Keep the lancets and lancing device packed until the time of use.
• Make sure to wash your hands before handling a lancing device and a lancet.
• Cleaning the puncture site before pricking is necessary to eliminate the risk of infections.

Warning

• Do not use an expired, broken, or damaged lancet or lancing device.
• Do not expose the glucose meter, lancing device, as well as unused lancets in the refrigerator as low temperatures can alter their readings.
• Do not keep glucose meters, lancing devices, and lancets in direct sunlight or highly moist environments.
• Do not use a plastic or glass jar as a sharps container due to their high risk of breakage leading to compromised patient safety. Rather, using a metallic one is preferable.
