The Cooper Surgical CTXL is the Carter-Thomason CloseSure System XL.
This system includes the CloseSure suture passer in extra-large (XL) size and two pilot guides, one for 10/12mm XL ports and another for 15mm XL ports. The system is sterile and intended for single use. Each box contains 3 systems. A clinical study has demonstrated the superiority of the Carter-Thomason CloseSure System compared to other port-site closure techniques. The study found that the CloseSure system was faster and resulted in fewer port-closure related complications than hand suturing and six other closure devices.
