The ETHICON 1952S SURGICEL® Absorbable Hemostat is a sterile hemostatic agent composed of oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC), designed to provide effective adjunctive hemostasis during surgical procedures. The 4 in. x 8 in. loose knit fabric offers an ideal matrix for platelet adhesion and aggregation, promoting rapid clot formation and control of continuous oozing from capillaries, veins, and small arteries when traditional methods are impractical or insufficient.
