The Mepilex® 1227481 Mepilex® Border Ag is an advanced, self-adherent antimicrobial foam dressing designed for the management of moderately to heavily exuding wounds at risk of infection. Combining silver-based antimicrobial technology with the patented Safetac® silicone adhesion layer, it provides a comprehensive solution in a single, easy-to-use dressing.

This all-in-one dressing effectively absorbs and retains exudate, maintaining a moist wound healing environment while preventing strike-through. The Safetac® border seals the periwound skin, preventing leakage and reducing the risk of maceration. It also allows for atraumatic removal, minimizing pain and trauma to both the wound bed and surrounding tissue during changes — promoting patient comfort and compliance.

Infused with ionic silver, Mepilex® Border Ag begins inactivating common wound pathogens — including MRSA, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and E. coli — within 30 minutes, with sustained antimicrobial activity for up to 7 days. This helps reduce bioburden, control odor, and support healing in colonized or critically colonized chronic and acute wounds.

The dressing is self-adherent, eliminating the need for secondary tape or wraps in most applications, enhancing patient comfort and mobility. Its conformable design fits easily over joints and contoured body areas.
