The Cordis ExoSeal 7F EX700 is a vascular closure device that is used to close femoral artery puncture sites after diagnostic or interventional catheterization procedures. It is indicated for use with standard 5F, 6F, or 7F vascular sheath introducers with up to a 12-cm working length. The EXOSEAL Vascular Closure Device is designed for a safe, simple, and secure closure. It features a biocompatible, absorbable plug that is delivered through the introducer and expands to fill the puncture site. The plug is then anchored in place with a nitinol retention disc. The EXOSEAL Vascular Closure Device is typically removed within 7 days after the procedure.
