OneTouch Delica Plus Lancing Device

OneTouch® Delica® Plus disposable lancing device is employed for puncturing the skin to draw a blood sample. Blood sugar analysis is performed on the sample to check the diabetic patient’s BGL.

Construction

OneTouch® Delica® Plus disposable lancing devices are plastic-based devices which are lightweight and easy to use. Their small size allows the patients to carry them around easily. Once their job is done, these lancing devices can then be dispose of.

Needle Size

Two kinds of needles including a fine (33G) and extra fine (30G) lancets can be employed with the OneTouch® Delica® Plus disposable lancing devices. These sizes reduce the chances of finger pricks and reduce the pain to the patient.

Packaging

OneTouch® Delica® Plus disposable lancing devices are non-sterile but the needles they hold are sterile and free from microbial contamination.

Caution

• Always handle the lancing device with clean hands preferably washed with soap and water.
• Clean the puncture site before starting the procedure.
• Disposable lancing devices must be discarded immediately after use.
• Use a new lancing device each time blood sampling is required.

Warning

• Do not use the lancing device if the seal is broken or missing.
• Never share the same lancing device among different diabetic patients.
• Do not use the disposable lancing device more than once either for the same patient or for a different patient.
• Due to being biohazardous, proper disposal of lancing devices is necessary.
• If you experience pain or the symptoms of an infection after using the lancing device, consult your healthcare provider immediately.
